The first responsibility of a leader is to define reality. The last is to say thank you.”

Having led the Entertainment club for a year, I've seen how important it is to foster a friendly and encouraging atmosphere. Our Club provides a range of discussions and events to enable members to delve deeper into their interests and everyone is welcome to experiment and exchange ideas. This strategy has made our Club a lively place where people find and develop their abilities while doing what they love.

A Journey of Connection and Celebration at the Entertainment Club

When I joined the Entertainment Club, I anticipated exciting experiences and new friendships but little did I know that it would become such a significant part of my college journey, culminating in my election as President the following year. This role has not only allowed me to lead but has also provided me with a platform to connect with students from all walks of life, including seniors whose wisdom and guidance have been invaluable. Together, we have organised a series of unforgettable events,  including Prom Night, Tihar Fest and Christmas Fest, along with various theme nights that catered to diverse interests. These activities not only brought joy and entertainment but also fostered a sense of community and inclusivity, defining my Club experience in the most meaningful way possible.

Developing My Leadership Skills

Being a leader requires constant growth and development and my experience at the Entertainment Club has influenced how I approach problems and use my knowledge. During my tenure as the president of the Entertainment Club, I have faced several challenges that significantly shaped my leadership journey. Balancing my responsibilities as a student with the demands of leading the Club has required meticulous time management and prioritisation. Ensuring that all club members were actively engaged and performing to their best abilities was also a challenge as it involved motivating students, recognising their efforts, and providing constructive feedback. Organising events featuring student singers added another layer of complexity, as it required coordinating rehearsals, managing stage fright, and ensuring each performance met the club’s standards. Throughout all of this, I worked closely with my peers to plan events and provide our community with unforgettable experiences. This honed my problem-solving skills and strengthened my ability to lead with compassion and adaptability. It also provided me with countless funny moments with friends (like the time when we turned a rehearsal mishap into an impromptu dance-off!). These moments not only brought us closer but also added a layer of joy and solidarity to our journey that I will never forget.
