- Purpose of the Role
To carry out research, teaching and administration within the Department.
- Functions of the Post
To design, develop, and deliver material using a range of methods and platforms.
- Key Duties
This role comprises the following duties and responsibilities:
- Preparing and delivering lectures, tutorials, workshops, and seminars.
- Developing curricula and course material that can be used across a number of platforms.
- Develop and apply new teaching methods to reflect changes in research
- Collaborating with other academics and lecturers to improve teaching methods and expand knowledge base.
- Setting and grading assignments, tests, and exams.
- Conducting research, and writing papers, proposals, journal articles, and books.
- Supervise students’ research, including recent student projects
- Attending and participating in meetings, conferences, and other events in and outside of the institution.
- Participating in training opportunities and initiatives at the institution.
- Providing support to students and other colleagues.
- Staying current by reading widely and producing published work in the field.
- To supervise or assist with supervision of undergraduate, taught graduate (Masters) or research graduate students.
- To contribute to the development, planning and implementation of a high-quality curriculum.
- To assist in the development of learning materials, preparing schemes of work and maintaining records to monitor student progress and achievement.
- To participate in departmental and faculty seminars aimed at sharing research outcomes and building interdisciplinary collaboration within and outside the department.
- To participate in the administration of the department’s programmes of study and other activities as requested.
- To contribute to departmental, faculty, or committees as requested.
- To maintain own continuing professional development.
- Conduct individual research projects and actively contribute to the institution’s research work.
- Write a research paper and make it for publication
- Involve in staff training activities
- Qualification/Requirements
- Master’s Degree in relevant field from reputed UK University.
- Previous teaching experience.
- Proven working experience in Higher Education development.
- Strong interpersonal, presentation, and written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent leadership and analytical skills.
- Proven working experience in designing and creating learning solutions.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in relevant field
- Having knowledge and experience in UK Higher Education System will add value.
