The British College students bag FIRST position in 1st Inter College Counter Strike – Global Offensive Competition (CS-GO)!

Today, The British College proudly crowned our 1st Inter-College ESports Championship 2016 winners following a week long, fierce gaming battle. The event was a huge success attracting over 2000 competitors from 40 different colleges across the week. At The British College we want to promote the growing interest and participation in ESports and seek to maximise team involvement through our first ever ESports event. TBC is proud to host such a well-managed and exciting 1st Inter-College ESports festival with the bonus of cash prizes and rewards for the successful teams.

The event was a five day extravaganza and the first time, in the history of the Nepalese ESports industry, that any Inter-College tournament has been held. 1st Inter-College ESports Championship awards were awarded by Arun Lal Joshi (Associate Dean, IT and Computer Science of The British College). After the award ceremony Mr. Joshi said “promoting this type of event helps students develop their skills in event and project management beside entertainment and study”. The championship was organised by The British College IT Club; planned and run by students under the leadership of Pratik Gautam, BSc Computing student.
