ACCA Students Visit the Nepal Supreme Court

ACCA Students Visit the Nepal Supreme Court

In the field of accounting, professionals are required to have practical knowledge of the legal system to contribute to a wide variety of different roles. Practical knowledge of legal procedures helps to ensure statutory compliance and justice and is required for students to be able to contribute to the judicial system in the best way possible.

Therefore, British Professional College decided to offer the students exposure to real-life courtroom procedures, and so Corporate and Business Law (LW) faculty, Pooja Khatri conducted an exposure visit to the Supreme Court of Nepal on 5th April.

The visit was specially planned for the 35 ACCA students, who were accompanied by four staff and faculty members. The students were welcomed by the members of the supreme court before being divided into groups and being assigned with their bench numbers and passes. They were lined up to witness the session and were briefed about the procedure and operations undertaken by the register to deliver the final session.

This hands-on approach gave them a better understanding of the Domestic Legal System, practical knowledge and experience of court hearings and the process know-how of the legal system. They had the great opportunity to observe the entire processing session and after the session, had a chance to discover more about the procedures of the court.

We would like to convey our appreciation and thanks to the Supreme Court of Nepal for this wonderful opportunity for our students. The visit was an exceptional experience and students left with a deep insight into the functioning and operations of the Nepalese legal procedures and system.
