IELTS Preparatory Courses
The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is the most widely recognised English qualification in the world and last year the IELTS test was taken by more than 1.7 million candidates around the globe. The test is designed to assess language skills in Speaking, Listening, Reading and Writing.
You will need to prepare for the IELTS test if:
You want to enter a university or college in the UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Canada or the USA.
You need a work visa for a country which accepts an IELTS score as proof of your language ability.
About the IELTS course.
The IELTS preparation course helps you to improve your English skills and your score in the IELTS test and achieve an internationally recognised qualification in English.
Classes are taught by a highly qualified and experienced native speaking IELTS specialists.
The course focuses on examination strategies and tips to achieve the best scores in all four components of the test. There are regular practice tests in all the components with individual feedback and counselling given by the course trainer.
We have a mock test that is administered at the beginning of the course and students are given an idea of their IELTS level in Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening. A basic level of English is required to be accepted on the course.
Course Length: 30 hours over 6 weeks
Regular Classes: Monday & Wednesday, 8:00-10:00am—a total of 24 hours
- Sunday (times t.b.d.)—a total of 6 hours
- One abbreviated test at mid-course
- One full test at course-end
- Covers four skills: Listening, Reading, Speaking and, in particular, Writing
