At TBC, we make sure all of our students leave with a wealth of memories and life skills. So from sports, to parties, to giving back to the community - our students really do it all!
Sports
At TBC we see sports as a key extracurricular activity and a great opportunity for students to build their leadership and teamwork skills - as well as improve their health and have fun interacting with students from other colleges. For this reason, along with a gym, we boast a recreational centre and basketball court - and have football, pool, badminton, cricket, athletics, table tennis, and foosball clubs and teams.
We also run intra and inter college sports competitions throughout the year - including the annual British Cup Inter College Futsal Tournament and TBC Basketball Tournament. Colleges from around the city are invited to take part and at the end of the tournaments, the winners and runners-up take home huge cash prizes - with some special awards going to stand-out players.
Clubs & Communities
At TBC we have a wide range of clubs and societies to cater all students, such as the Entrepreneurship Club, Entertainment Club, and the CODE Club. They range from social, to academic, to the completely unique - and if we don’t have what you are looking for then you can just create your own!
One of our most popular is the Social Club who get involved with the numerous CSR activities that we hold throughout the year. These include distributing blankets, planting trees, and raising money at events organised by the Club itself.
Events & Entertainment
An essential part of College life is having fun and making memories. So, whether we are celebrating a festival, hosting a competition, or holding a party to celebrate your achievements, there’s always an opportunity for you to enjoy one of the many events that we host throughout the year.
One of our biggest events of the year is Graduation, which we host at The Hyatt Regency Hotel each year. We began with just one event but now have so many graduates that we get to have a morning and afternoon session too! At TBC we also love to celebrate both British and Nepal Festivals - and two of our biggest parties of the year are held for Holi and Christmas.
As well as festivals, we have many parties and events throughout the year - both on and off campus. From Open Mic Night to E-Gaming Competitions and Food Fests - we really do have something for everyone. One of our biggest events of ‘23 was Bollywood Night which took place at one of the best venues in Kathmandu, and featured entertainment from famous bands and DJs.
Students at the Social Club get the chance to organise events and we even have overnight trips, with one group of students travelling to Kushma to brave the second-biggest bungee jump in the world!
Opportunities
We like to foster learning outside of the classroom and for that reason, we work with external organisations to create opportunities for our students throughout the year. And one of the biggest events at TBC is the Hult Prize - an global entrepreneurial competition which was introduced in 2020/21 and resulted in two of our students travelling to Nairobi to represent the College whilst competing on an international platform!
We also host theTBC Marketplace every year, as well as our annual Job Fair, where leading businesses come together on campus to create a platform for our students, graduates, and alumni to network with leading firms and seek top employment opportunities. We make an effort to engage a variety of businesses from different sectors to cater for students from all programmes and have amassed a substantial list of well-known firms.
