A Levels scholarship policy

Guidelines for Scholarship 2019-2020:

British Model College Scholarship programme is dedicated to students who wish to pursue Science and Management Education in A Levels at British Model College as per the following:

2 SEE final result 3.7 GPA or above 100% in Tuition Fee Must maintain at least “a” in each term exam
    3.5 GPA or above 50% in Tuition Fee Must maintain at least “b” in each term exam
    3.3 GPA or above 25% in Tuition Fee Must maintain at least “c” in each term exam
3 Sports (Volleyball, Table Tennis & E-Sports. ), National Player (2 seats)

One for Male

One for Female

50% in Tuition Fee Must maintain at least “c” in each term exam
4 Economically Unprivileged, (5 seats)

“B” or above in SEE exams

50% in Tuition Fee Must maintain at least “c” in each term exam
5 Staff Referral

“B” or above in SEE exams

25% in Tuition Must maintain at least “c” in each term exam

 

ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE SCHEME AND SELECTION PROCEDURE

  • BMC admission will be opened in the months of June-July every year. Students can get an application form from the BMC admission department by paying NRs 500.00.
  • Class 10 (SEE) pass out students of the current Academic Year, who meet the admission criteria of BMC will be eligible for scholarships. Scholarships will be based on SEE academic records and CBET exams conducted by BMC during June-July every year.
  • The student eligible for scholarship has to submit all the relevant documents in original form.
  • A student will be eligible for a scholarship toward a total duration not exceeding 1 instalment/ 1 term or 3 months in a year.
  • Since the course is delivered in English, nominated candidates should have a solid knowledge background of English to fluently speak and comprehend lessons in English without difficulty.
  • The authority at BMC will publish and inform the eligible students from the top of the merit list up to twice the number of scholarships available (to provide for possible refusal cases) through website and email to confirm within 7 days whether he/she is prepared to accept the scholarship.
  • The candidates from whom replies are not received within 7 days of BMC seeking their willingness will not be considered for scholarship and the award will be given to the next eligible candidates on the merit list.
  • If the total number of scholarships in any category is not fulfilled then it will be allocated to another available category.
  • The decision of the scholarship committee shall be final in this regard. The scholarship committee shall be constituted by the Director.

 

Extension / Discontinuation / Cancellation of Scholarship:

A scholarship under the scheme is renewable on a term basis up to AS Level in the same stream. The renewal will depend on:

  • Scholar maintains grade as shown in the table above in the preceding examination.
  • 85% attendance.
  • Not involved in any activities that go against the rules and policies of British Model College.
