The British College and CAN Federation Sign Strategic Partnership to Organize Startup World Cup Nepal Chapter 2026
The MoU was signed on 7 July 2026 by Rajen Kandel, Group CEO of The Kandel Group and The British College, and Chiranjibi Adhikari, President of the CAN Federation. The partnership aims to strengthen Nepal's entrepreneurial ecosystem by identifying, nurturing, and showcasing innovative startups while connecting them to global opportunities through the Startup World Cup platform.
As the Strategic Organising Partner, CAN Federation will work alongside The British College to deliver the Startup World Cup Nepal 2026. Together, the two organisations will conduct provincial-level competitions, expand outreach across the country, engage experienced mentors and investors, and host the National Finale. The initiative aims to identify Nepal's most promising startups and connect them with global opportunities.

The Startup World Cup, organised globally by Pegasus Tech Ventures, is one of the world's largest startup pitch competitions, spanning more than 100 regional competitions across over 60 countries. The winner of the Nepal Chapter will earn the opportunity to represent Nepal at the Global Grand Finale in Silicon Valley, where startups compete for a chance to secure a US$ one million investment prize, subject to the competition's official terms and conditions.
This partnership marks another significant milestone in The British College's commitment to fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, and global engagement, while reinforcing CAN Federation's continued efforts to support Nepal's growing startup and technology ecosystem.
