BSc Computing Student Diwon Sigdel Secures Internship in Germany

Internship Brief
Diwon Sigde A final year student of BSc (Hons) Computing was able to secure an internship at Zittau Gorlitz University of Applied Sciences in Zittau, Germany. He will be in Germany for the 3 months duration of his internship.
He is working on a project that involves designing and developing a warehouse robot capable of autonomously delivering packages. The system uses ROS 2 (Robot Operating System) to manage core functions such as navigation, obstacle avoidance, and delivery coordination. The robot's onboard control is powered by microROS, a lightweight version of ROS 2 for microcontrollers, while high-level processing is handled by a local ROS 2 server. The goal is to enable smart, efficient, and hands-free operation in warehouse environments.
