Job Responsibilities:
- Provides basic troubleshooting, repair and maintenance for computer equipment (e.g. Desktop, disk drives, and laser printers) and may assist with network diagnose, hardware versus software problems inside the PTE Test Center.
- Maintain accurate and complete documentation of Hardware equipment.
- Prepare report of issues, troubleshooting’s other documents as required.
- Greet PTE Test Candidates and address their technical issues.
- Order and stock IT Equipment when necessary.
- Provide technical assistance to PTE staff as needed.
- Assist in software and hardware upgrades.
- Add or update workstations for Test Center.
- Perform routine PC maintenance and updates for performance efficiency.
- Coordinate with Pearson Technical support team for any IT issues inside the Test Center.
Requirements:
- Ability to troubleshoot common hardware/software issues Should be flexible on working hours.
- Ability to meet deadlines and adjust to changing priorities
- Ability to follow instructions and work autonomously, but also able to recognize when you are in over your head
- Ability to quickly gain new skills and knowledge when faced with new challenges,
- Attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Qualifications:
- BSC in Computer Science or similar fields
- Excellent Hardware and software troubleshooting knowledge
- Computer Hardware training
