MBA (Graduate)

The British College (TBC) and Leeds Beckett University (LBU) are working together to offer the MBA (Graduate) programme in Kathmandu.

The MBA (Graduate) is a two year post-graduate degree programme which consists of one semester of TBC pre-masters and three semesters LBU programmes. The PG degree programme is in the process to get approval from the Ministry of Education in Nepal and recognition from Tribhuvan University (the national university) in the country.

The primary aim of the programme is to provide postgraduate level knowledge, understanding and skills that prepare students for their career in business and management. In the programme, students will have opportunities to develop their management and leadership styles that will help them think and move strategically in uncertain business environment. They will learn how to apply academic theories and concepts in addressing the real life business issues. Besides that, they will also be equipped with analysis and communication skills that are needed to work with stakeholders in business from diverse background. Independent learning, creative and critical thinking skills those students develop in their studies and project works will help them to be innovative and entrepreneurial in generating and implementing effective ideas in their works.

Admissions

  • Students apply in person or online
  • Students receive a conditional offer and should deposit a minimum amount to safeguard their place on the course applied.
  • Students provide the evidence required in the conditional offer letter (normally original certificates) For example: Students need to provide their English Proficiency Test Certificate.
  • Student receives an unconditional offer and makes their final payment

Our students are required to sit an entrance test, and if they are lacking an appropriate English qualification, they must sit our mock IELTS test as well.

We compare your qualifications against our requirements: consequently, before you apply, you should be in a position to know if you will be accepted or not. In unusual circumstances, applications will be sent to our partner university who will assess the application and decide the eligibility. Their decision is final.

Masters

  • MSc in International Management: 2:2 degree or equivalent and 6.5 IELTS (5.5 in all bands)
  • MBA (Executive): 2:2 degree, 6.0 IELTS and 2 years relevant managerial experience (5.5 in all bands)
  • MBA (Graduate): 2:2 degree, 6.0 IELTS and 2 years relevant managerial experience (5.5 in all bands)
We recommend our students to have IELTS. However, we do accept other English Proficiency Test such as Pearson and TOEFL.
  • Yes, as long as your course maps against the overseas institution’s course where you are planning to transfer to
  • As you are studying exactly the same course as your counterparts in UWE, Leeds Beckett University, you can transfer easily to either of these institutions.

Fee

No, we do not have any hidden fees. The only time you may be expected to pay anymore than the given amount is with:
1. International and out-of-valley trips
2. If you want your own copy of a course book
You will receive your payment plan at the time of enrolment. To pay your course fees, you will meet with our accountant who will inform you of how you can pay and help provide the payment plan that suits you.
We are working on several scholarship schemes and have recently introduced the ‘Lord Sandwich Scholarship scheme’, where one deserving student will be fully funded each year.

Course 70% in +2 80% in +2
Foundation 15% off first semester 25% off 1st first semester
Current Students :

For current students, the three toppers for each intake, of each year will be awarded the following scholarship:

1st: 50% off their tuition fee for the next semester
2nd: 25% off their tuition fee for the next semester
3rd: 15% off their tuition fee for the next semester

Academic Services

  • Yes, we have a dedicated student support team who will help ensure that you receive the education that you deserve.
  • We also provide counsellors for both academic and non-academic problems and will soon be hiring a career counsellor/placement officer to provide guidance on your career.
Yes, you can do part of your course at UWE and Leeds Beckett University. TBC Student Services team will assist you with the transfer.
A student exchange program is where a student from one college/university will spend a semester or a year at another university but will then return to their original university. Students can participate in this throughout any of their degree course (i.e. not during their foundation year or pre-master’s program)

Work placements will be available to interested students and as such, we have signed multiple Memorandums of Understanding with key companies within Nepal.

Currently we only provide this service to A Level Students.
With the exception of special seminars, classes will be no larger than 48 students.
Yes, the Master programme is taught during weekday mornings to allow our students to work.
This will vary depending on your course and on your year but you can expect to be in Monday to Friday, either in the morning or afternoon. This will be fully detailed in your course handbook.
Again, this will vary on the Masters that you are studying but currently, our courses run from Sunday to Friday and are held in the morning to allow students to work.
