On 29th August 2022, the British Professional College (BPC) welcomed the new batch of ACCA students, by hosting an interactive orientation programme at the Hotel Himalaya.

The orientation was hosted by one of our current ACCA students from the Strategic Professional level, Mr Nikheel Kumar Chaudhary, who shared his experience as an active ACCA student at the College.

The session began with a welcome session led by Prof. Mary Bishop, Executive Principal at The British College, who formally addressed students and helped to commence the programme. Students were then welcomed by Mr Arun Lal Joshi (Associate Dean-Academic), Mr Yamal Chandra Rajbhandary (Associate Dean-Quality and Student Services), and Mr Rabin Katwal (ACCA Nepal Head).

The introductory and welcome session was then followed by a formal, in-depth introduction to the ACCA programme, which was conducted by Mr Dipendra K Shrestha (ACCA Programme Manager), along with other department heads of the college.

In addition, BPC alumni, Ms Rejika Maharjan, shared her professional experience and provided tips for students on academic success and professional careers. A newly enrolled student, Mr Anshul Panta, also shared his experience and expectations from the College and the ACCA programme. Then finally, a recent global prize winner from BPC, Ms Riya Manandhar, shared her journey of becoming a world topper and gave tips to the newly enrolled students.

At the end of the session, students had the chance to speak to the Programme Manager about their prospective studies and have all their questions answered.
